" I read a few things saying people have found them helpful, however if your eczema is related to food allergies, then you need to read the labels carefully...many probiotics contain yogurt cultures, which could have life-threatening effects if you're dealing with a severe milk allergy. I haven't tried them with my daughter just because her food allergies are so hyper-sensitive right now. But again, I have read a few things that said people have found them to be quite effective. I would have tried them if her eczema wasn't related to the food allergies.

Hope you continue to see improvement for yourself and get the results you are looking for! "

" Couldn't have cured mine without it. Or my families, or a couple of friends, or some people I have helped that were just aquaintences.
They make probiotics for lactose intolerant people.
They won't do it alone though. Luck up key words leaky gut syndrome and probiotics..
I will post some herbs if anyone is interested.
Keep hearing food alergy. Maybe allergies are not the cause but a symptom? "

" Also, probiotics are not created equal. Just because one kind failed you, doesn't mean they don't work. I found personally the REFRIDGERATED powderes to be best. "

" If you go to www.eczema.net and follow the link for: Naturopathic Dermatology Web Book for Eczema, in the left margin you'll see the free book. Once in the online book, there's a section on Bacteria with many links to reserach on probiotics with regard to eczema. You could also just copy and paste this to get to that "Probiotics for Eczema" web page:

" YES!! You might want to read the following link. It speaks of a correlation between skin and GI Track health(balance of good bacteria and digestive enzymes).PRObiotics are very good for both. I had my son (who is not allergic to milk)try GNC: Digestive Health Powder which has Porbiotics, Prebioticcs AND Digestive Enzymes. I could NOT beleive it within 3 days I seen about 75% reduction in redness and some spots were gone. It has continued to clear up. It was much better than the lotion that just treated the symptom this treats the root problem.

" Hmm. I did some fresh reading on this and it looks like there could be something in it, but the results are still debatable. All the trials I could find were conducted for infants, and since the immune system of infants is still learning it is possible that introducing various bacteria into the gut could modulate their immune system in the long term. Eczema is an immune disease. I couldn't find any studies for probiotics in adults. I guess that maybe there's still an effect but a smaller one, but maybe it's just enough to make a difference in people with mild eczema.
