My onset of eczema didn't start until a couple of years ago. Since then it is triggered by synthetic fibers and rough cotton. My doctor did a test and swears that it is eczema but it acts more like an allergic reaction, except that it shows up on all the typical spots. Does anyone else have a problem with weird triggers?

" Wow, I'm sorry you both have the same problem. It is kinda sad and relieving. I hate to see someone else suffer the same but now I know I'm not losing it. Maybe I can help in return. First of all check the tag on the rob. Is it made of polyester? Knee socks too may be okay if the material is really thin and your skin can breathe. Don't know if that will help, but maybe. :) "

" yeah definitely. rough and scratchy material is definitely an irritant for me. It's really annoying for me when I bring my own comforter to someone else's house and they throw a big fuss because I don't want to use their fluffy fur-like blanket. And then they don't even try to understand when I try to explain that even if it's soft to the touch, it bothers my skin like mad. "
