I was just curious - do any of you get embarrassed when you're grocery shopping? I always do because I feel like people must think I'm the vainest thing in the world because whenever i pick something up off the shelf, i turn it around and check the calories and fat..or i buy diet things like slim fast and i always wonder if people know that i have a problem because i'm this skinny thing buying all these vegetables, fruits, and weight watchers or slim fast stuff.
like i hate going to the register and putting all that stuff on the counter because i feel like the cashier must think i'm super full of myself or i have some eating issues.. Posted on 07/07/08, 03:07 pm |

sometimes have the same problem or use to I now use Shoprite sho at home and then all i have to do is go pick it up and is bagged and brought to my car it help me to not be embarrased of what i buy or feel weird before i did that i would also use the self check out that was helpful to hope that helped:)

I think I'm an exception when it comes to grocery shopping. I love it. I buy everything I would love to eat but forbid myself and feed it to my family. Knowing that I can have a bite of theirs is good enough for me. Stopped caring of what people think of me.

im like that aswell.
like wen i go grocery shopping with my parents ill walk around by myself and check calories and fat and carbs. i always feel like ppl r looking at me. wen i was at my lowest weight i wood do shopping myself and buy my own food to eat. that was bad coz the cashier wood always like look at me weird.. its so frustrating hey.

TOTALLY, I drive for about 40 miles to shop as I"m so scared I'll run into someone I know. Its totally messed up but my worst ear is that I'll run into someone and have to justify why I'm there. So yeah, kind of get where you're coming from in terms of embarassment, but I guess our reasons look a little different......
