I ate a big salad with chicken and fat free ranch dressing. I'm scared the salad was too big and maybe I used to much ranch. I want to purge so bad. I hate that I ate that whole salad. I only used one medium sized "heart smart" chicken filet. What do I do when I feel like this??

" Yeah, I know how you feel. But a salad is definitly not bad it has like nothing in it. Vegetables are actually really good for you. You can get through this just keep reminding yourself that a salad isnt bad its good. "

" I know exactly how you feel.A lot of times, it doesn't matter how healthy or low in calories the meal is, but it is the volume of food that makes us panic. I'd say, go for a walk, or if it's raining, lift some freewieghts, just easy going exercise. This might help you feel like you deserve to have this, and help get your mind off it all. Try to hang on to feeling comfortable with having foods like this b/c it really sucks when you don't feel comfortabe with anything. Having a salad with chcken is so good for your body. take care! "

" A chicken salad with fat free ranch dressing is absolutely healthy, low cal , and virtually no fat. Even if you used "too much" dressing, fat free dressing is what like 50 calories for 2 tablespoons? And 2 tablespoons is more than you think, so you might have actually used less than that ..I know..I've measured out my fat free salad dressing many a time :-)

Although it's hard to stop thinking of food in terms of 'good' and 'bad,' try to see it as just food. The chicken is a lean protein which is great for muscles, the fat free dressing adds practically nothing, and all of the vegetables in a salad are packed with vitamins and nutrients and are pretty much free of calories and great for your organs, skin, hair, nails, eyesight, heart; etc; etc.

When you feel like that, just try to think of how your body needs what you just ate. Even if you just had a piece of cake, try to think that your body needs the carbs to run, your body needs sugar, and your body needs some fat too. And fat does NOT make you fat, despite what people say. Try and sit with it, try and sit with it.. "
