HI guys , had my botox on Friday , still feeling a little "loopy" but much better , the shaking and pain is letting off . Still feel like my neck is made of jello but hey at least it doesn't hurt nearly as bad . Wishing you all a peaceful and pain free day .

" I can't remember the first time that I got botox A (there is also B).

Can you believe that dystonia is classified as a "non-painful condition" by the medical books. Makes me want to smack them in a private place and then ask them if that is a "non-painful" condition, too. "

" My doctor has told me to get the botox injections, but I have so much feel of having them done. I have heard some real horror stories and don't want to become one of them. My doctor wants to do 8 injections between my neck and my shoulders, but I don't think my insurance company will cover them. Any comments from anyone else about the injections? The pain is so horrible by the end of the day that I can't even stand to have my husband sit with his arms around my shoulders. "

" My Hubby has Dystonia, and has tried the Botox shots a few times.

Unfortunately, they don't do much for him. His Dystonia affects his whole body. Using Botoxfor him would be like trying to stem the tide of water from a leaking dam with a finger!!

For someone with a more localized dystonia, such as cervical, or facial, then it would be a great option!

Botox blocks the pain message from getting sent to the brain, it does work but for it to work for my husband he would need dosages way too high for safe usage!

God Bless!

Janelle "
