I know reading is hard for dyslexics but I have a question about it. I like to read, even if it does take forever sometimes, but when I do read I seem to become part of the story. I don’t know how else to label it, is it something normal that people do when reading, a dyslexic thing? It’s not just like reading it’s like watching the words become a living thing. Almost like watching a movie in my mind. I know dyslexics see things more in pictures than words, patterns and such. I was wondering if when other people read it happens or is my imagination running away with me?

I have an extremely vivid imagination, but I do become so engrossed in a good book that I 'become a part of it'. I don't know if it is dyslexia, but I know your not alone. I love it, I would rather read than watch tv. I think that is also why I couln't focus on alot of subjects in school too, because I couldn't 'see' what I was reading.

My son experiences a similar thing when he listens to books. He kind of mourns the loss of that world when the book is over.

Sickened I know how your son feels, I too feel as though I mourn the end of the story, the end of the world within. Thank-you guys.
