I've noticed an increase in products (i.e., sodas, hard candies, processed foods, etc.) & the amounts of *CITRIC ACID*listed in the ingredients...after all, if Coca Cola cleans your toilet bowl & tenderizes raw meat to the point of practically DISSOLVING it...what might it do to our intestines, especially if one already has a "sensitive gut" or is pre-disposed genetically to divertic? Furthermore, I really noticed the INCREASE of Citric Acid in common food products when the drug companies were vigorously "pushing" the *Purple Pill* for GERD/acid reflux...do they make us ILL so they can "cure" us?

yeah, see, I think with so many young people now getting this maybe there is something that we are ingesting that is causing the increased rate of diverticulosis. Or you never know about the medications that we take. I was put on Buspar, Paxil, and Lorazepam, and after have a panic disorder in Feb. Kind of a coincidence that I come up with diverticulitis five months later after years of good health.
