Hi all, I'm 33 turning 34 next month and I need somethings answered. I went to the ER on Sunday afternoon and I ended up staying in the hospital for 2 nights. I was told I got Diverticulitis so they did Xray, blood test and Cat scan than I was put in 2 nights. Now doctors don't tell much, I ask questions and I get these different answers. I'm on flagyl and levaquin but today is the last day, I left the hospital on Tuesday night and it's been 7 days since, I was put on low res/low fiber diet but than noone is telling me what to do now. What do I do now that I'm off the pills and I still get a very dull sore kinda pain after few hours of eating these low res stuff (very little) food. I was told I need to go on High fiber diet but when? does these little dull sore/pain go on for a while? what kind of food can I eat and what can't I? What's gonna happen next and what to do? I wanted to doctors to answer all these but they are no help. Beside my PCP doctor appointment is still another week away. Some one please make me feel better! thanks!

" I found most helpful Dr. to be a N.D. NOT the M.D. The N.D. took the time to explain to explain the intestines and mucus membranes. Key helpful remedies for me have been:
1. Keep well hydrated
2. Eat small portions of food
3. Eat easy to digest food i.e. fruits, vegetables, NO RED MEAT
4. I began high fiber diet after about 1 month from onset. when I had regular, easy bowel movements "
