I never really write posts just for the girls but today I am - sorry guys i apologize in advance for this one! So when it is that time of the month for girls we usually can weigh up to 5lbs more right?! Well this week I didn't. I actually stayed at a really low weight still and I'm so excited! I've been drinking TONS of water anyway so maybe that is helping. And with exercising regularly I think it will actually be a really short "week," which is wonderful. I always here that women that exercise a lot of shorter "weeks." Any thoughts?

" That is wonderful...I know the water is a big thing in helping with the retention of salt during that time. I wish I could exercise then, I am in so much pain with cramping, I can barely get out of bed much less anything else, of course I have tried thinking if I do it it will feel better. Nope it was worse...UGH...good suggestions though, many may be able to use it with success! "

" Heh...I'm just in time for this post! I'll be there in a couple of days. Feeling the drab effects of it already...but won't let it keep me down. Definitely, drinking a ton of water helps - always - but especially at "that time". I'll be exercising too. I think it does make me feel better when i do, at least emotionally. Some months it doesn't bother me at all - it's just a nuisance. But others it's hell. You'd think being on the pill that it wouldn't be so erratic that way but it is. Anyway, glad to hear your weight stayed down. I don't know about the shorter weeks thing. If it's true though, that's definitely some incentive for me!!! "

" From my understanding it can be anywhere from 2 - 6 lbs of a weight gain. Drinking lots of water helps to counter the fluid loss that your body is experiencing during that time. Water for the most part also helps to rid your body of its toxins. With regards to exercise from what I know some women that over exercise or even those that have an eating disorder particularly anorexia tend to lessen their monthly cycles some to the point that they no longer menstruate at all. Hope my information helps. "

" i have noticed less of the bloat, but the cravings are more intense since I have cut a lot of the junk out anyways.
keeping the salt intake low anytime is good because retaining water is no fun no matter what time it is..
congrats on the progress "

" I always gain about five pounds around that time of the month, which drives me absolutely crazy. But I have noticed a change lately. Sometimes instead of the water weight gain during that time, it comes right after. I don't know why that started to happen. One point I was so excieted that the five pounds weren't there. And then right after, there they were and it took about five or six days to lose. That's happened to me several times now. Got any answers for that???? "
