It is a aweful way to live , you never know how you are going to feel..For me I was always thristy and of course had to limit intake of liquids. My heart goes out to everyone on dialysis . It has been 2 1/2 years and I am a new person..I value and thank God for each and every day....My prayers are with all on dialysis and their familes...

" Hi EME, it's great to hear of someone getting a transplant. I've been on dialysis for 10 months and I'm on the list for a transplant, but it's going to be a while before I get one. My potential donor has to lose 50 pounds before she can give me a kidney. My son originally considered giving me one but later backed out for some reason.
I so look forward to the day that I can look back on these days as the toughest part of my life. And I agree with you about the fluid restrictions. I am constantly thirsty and feel guilty for every sip I take.
Anyway congratulations and thanks for reminding me of what I have to look forward to. I guess for all the castastrophic illnesses we could have had, at least kidney failure has a way out through transplant. If I can just have patience until that day. Your friend, George White "
