I would like to hear from those out there on the nxstage home hemo. do you have to have a sterile room? can you have pets (dogs). do you use the button technique. does your spouse have to be there during treatments. can you stick yourself? I'm considering home hemo as the clinic thing is a drag and I feel washed out. if you do daily two-hour treatments, do you feel better than you did before. I'm blood type O so I'm going to have to wait a while for a transplant. I just want to feel better. thanks you your help. george white

I have 4 dogs and a cat. All you need is a room. Even your bedroom is okay. You just can't have the animals in the room when you dialize. They use the button holes for access. They want you to have a partner while you do it. Not in the room but at least in the home. :) SUE "

" This company provides services to home dialyzers and have some useful links. Then use a search engine for "home dialysis" and pull up even more. American Association of Kidney Patients should have a bunch also. Search "AAKP".
