" I do use Metformin and Glipizide. I wasn't seeing the results I needed either but I wasn't eating healthy.

I have done research on Januvia and for some people they can gain weight. I thought about this one too till I saw the gain weight issue.

I can say this much as the years have past since I was diagnosed with Type 2 the rules have changed the doctors want the blood sugar readings lower. Why its drug companies .. same as Cholesterol the standard has been lowered. Lowered standards mean money for the drug companies.

My Endocrinologist started me on Byetta. It has changed my appetite I have none. And I don't crave the carbs - junk food! I am pleased. If I didn't have insurance I wouldn't be able to afford it. "

" I recently started Januvia and it seems to make me sleepy and cause a head pain. But, I am sure that it will go away. I also take huge doses of insulin. Be careful with drugs sometimes they can make you worse than better. Look at avantia.

" I’ve been taking JANUMET for 4 months now. It helped to lower my BS in 1 day!!!
I also take natural supplements… I’m eating healthy, exercising and losing weight – slowly, the healthy way. I don't think I'm losing weight because of the JANUMET, rather due to my change in lifestyle.
My biggest concern is that I am TIRED. "

" I am on Janumet. I have been for almost 2 months and I have had little if any side effects from it. My sugar #s are less than half of what they were and in November I am expecting a fantastic new A1C!
Best of luck to you on it. "

" I have been on Janumet ever since I was diagnosed over a year ago. I have nothing but praise for it. My bs readings have been in the normal range about 99% of the time. My highest has been 187. Of course I drastically changed my diet. My A1C results were 5.7. Janumet kept me away from the side effects of metformin alone. Glad you're on it. "
