I just had some really bad upper stomach pain and kind of crushing feeling in my chest and weird feeling in my jaw. It lasted for several minutes and I almost called 911. Don't know if this could be a side effect of metformin. I just started taking it last week. I had a stress test a couple of weeks ago and everything was fine.

Gastric distress is a common side effect, with me it was so bad I had to stop taking this. the chest pain and feeling in your jaw, you should definitely call your doc aobut those.
