I've met many folks with diabetes (usually type 1) over the years. So I understand the benefits of getting together with others to swap ideas, compare equipment and just feel free to act normally without other folks looking at you.
I'm organizing a diabetes meetup/picnic on the afternoon of July 12th. It will be at Beaver Brook reservation just outside Boston. If you can make it, I'd love to meet you (really). Sorry the link got mangled.
The event is at Beaver Brook Reservation in Belmont, just outside Boston. Plan is to start around 12 noon on July 12th, there is NO rain date. It's a picnic, so bring your own supplies, food and drink. If you go to the events page on TuDiabetes (http://tudiabetes.com/events), you'll see the event. Everyone is welcome to come and bring family or friends. The plan is to hang out for a few hours and get to know one another. I'm hoping that some of us will go geocaching, but that depends on energy levels. If you know of others in the Boston area who might like to attend, please forward this information to them. I hope to see some of you there.
