My grandad has just been diagnosed with diabetes he was glucose tolerant but now is diabetic can anyone give any advice of recipes as he is vegetarian he never had a sweettooth but used to enjoy the odd slice of cake or biscuit.If anyone can recommend any books or web sites that could help i`d most appreciate it as we are stuck on what to cook for meals.thanks kelly

The American diabetes association has some great cook books as will just about any bookstore Just do a google search for diabetic recipes and you will get alot of places online top look. There are sugar free and noo sugar added cakes and pies available as well these days. You need to keepo the carbs down but you can still have regular cake and pies every now and then if your numbers are good.
