" I'm in year 3, I don't know how many times I have asked why me? I am having trouble with my levels being high also, but I have been under an extreme amount of stress.
I will tell you what I have found that I really love, I was a BIG mountain dew drinker, there is a water called Aqua Cal, it's flavored, but I really love it and it tastes sweet. I love the orange flavored, they have lemon, grape, strawberry, and a few more I think, but it is different from just regular flavored water. Nothing is easy anymore is it? God Bless You!! "

" I was a Coke addict for most of my life, but I've found a great substitute, Coke Zero. Give it a try. I swore I'd never like a diet drink, but Zero changed my mind. "

" i've Cerebral Palsy & hire local kids to help w/chores & keep soda for them. An 11 yr old girl told me she dont drink soda, only water & said..
" soda only adds toxins to your body & interferes w/lots of things so i drink only water so to be healthier. she is very healthy, no zits & this was 3 yrs ago so i started on water & went from 4 diet cokes daily to 1-2 per month & i thanked her profusely. i added an apple & banana a day. I like me more & have loads more energy
God Bless

" Well you're not alone I like my coke so once in awhile i'll splurge and i drink my coke. Oherwise water. I don't know if you've been to a education center that teaches about nutrition. It teaches you about numbers like carbs. I find those are the worst enemy for us. Also to learn that a small snack size snickers bar is less than if you drank a smll glass of apple juice. Hang in there girl. I used to think why me but then realized we all have lessons to learn in this life and what we learn and go through touches others. "

" I was in denial for 5 years and I didnt look after my levels very well. I dont want to be a prohet of doom but I am now having to inect myself 5 times a day, watch every morsel of food and suffer horrible hypos.
Please take this seriously and a little care now will prevent you from deteriorating and getting all the nasty side effects this illness can cause.
Dont forget you are worth looking after!
Good luck "

" I use seltzer with a splash of cranberry juice of orange juice to have flavor plus the bubbles. It mostly works. The diet sodas upset my tummy (sigh)... "

" hi, I'm having a really cruddy time too. I guess I've been using diet soda as my "aholic" I've been dealign with depression so big the past several months and court for my special needs son. My diet "aholic" sodas have kept my hands swollen. My vise of the soda? I love the fizz in my mouth and crunching the ice when the menopause has me sweating. :( I'm not doing well either.
Hang in there.. Somehow, we've got to face the drummer and keep going.

" I was never a big popaholic but had to break it off anyway -- I love icewater with a shot of fresh lemon or lime juice. Still, I get sick of all the weighing and measuring and want to chuck it all out the window some days. "
