Does anyone have any favourite snacks that work for them and don't send their blood sugars up?

I'm still "learning the ropes" and am looking for suggestions.

Thankfully I'm not a sweet tooth, but am I a crispy, spicy, kind of snacker. I had gotten some mini rice cakes, but they don't seem to be agreeing with me.

Help!

I find that I'm getting afraid to eat. NOW, that's a strange one for me!!

" I don't know how healthy this is, but when I need some energy, like in the afternoon, I like beef jerky. I know the sodium may be an issue for some, but the protein gives me a boost and it's low fat. "

" I guess I am thhe odball of the group. I love pickled garlic and because it is in a vinigar base, no bad breath. Pickles and pickled peppers are good too, just watch the salt. Try a slice of salami, put cream cheese and a hot ( or mld) pepper. Wrap it up and enjoy Sounds strange, tastes great "

" I like salami with a cutup Fuji apple and some lowfat string cheese. Celery with cream cheese or peanut butter. Apples with peanut butter is good too. Tuna and crackers are good too. But watch the carbs. I try to have between 4-5 small meals a day when I can. This helps my sugars from going wacky. Hope this helps and good luck. It's an ongoing
battle . "
