Foot and Knee Pain

I'm on my feet all day at work and the bottoms of my feet have been bruising and my knees really ache. I have tried wearing walking shoes, clogs, and stuffing those shoes with inserts. Is there anything else I can try? It's starting to affect my work.

" I thought for years my feet were bad because of standing for 25 years, retail. I got the brusing and then the veracose. Had to do with my sugar being high all the time. Also I smoke that doesn't help. If your job lets you, maybe some good tennis shoes and good socks. I have to start wearing boots in my job starting friday. I know my feet will kill me in about an hr. It really feels like you been working all day when your feet hurt. Hope more people respond. Big problem for me too. "

" I have the same problem, but mine is caused by diabetic neuropathy. I have pain in my feet most of the time as well as numbness. Unfortunately, mine has also spread to my arms. Make sure you see a neurologist and get a proper diagnosis. If you have neuropathy, there are ways to slow it down, but there is now cure. "

" I've spent a small fortune on shoes for my work, which requires black shoes. I've now got about 6 pair that I was unable to return because I'd worn them. And I
wholeheartedly agree with captain...the day seems much MUCH longer when your feet hurt! "

" Almost forgot! Maybe it's your socks and not the shoes. I've
discovered my feet are more sensitive than ever now! "

" I try to buy white cotton socks and then I cut the elastic treads out the top except for the very top. Then I bring a change for half way thru the day. Lunch break I try to elevate and remove for the 1/2 hr. Mornings I dry feet with a hair dryer. Night I soak them in warm water. "
