I just started taking it on Friday and I've felt worse last couple of days, I'm assuming it just takes a few weeks for it to kick in.

Can anyone tell me what experiences they've had with Wellbutrin??

" Wellbutrin SR was added to my regimen of Celexa and Klonopin. I'm not sure it helps a lot, but then there's so much going on in my family right now, I don't think anything would really help. "

" I was on it for 5 weeks and it definitely made me feel worse. I was also crying a lot. I switched and have been on Pristiq for ten days now, I'm still depressed but haven't had a crying spell in 5 days. "

" I've tried LOTS of anti-depressants, anti-anxiety and mood stabilizer meds and combinations thereof over the last 8 years. And Wellbutrin has worked the best for me out of everything. It is a bit stimulating, so it doesn't help my insomnia. Still working on trying to find something to help me sleep and get rid of the racing thoughts. But if I don't take my Wellbutrin for a few days I start to go downhill and get more depressed and suicidal. I've found that I get the "brain zaps" if I go above 300 mg or if I don't take it for a few days and start to go through withdrawal. Other than that I haven't had any problems with it personally. "

" 2I've been on Wellbutrin for quite some time now, probably almost a year. I specifically asked for it to help me stop smoking and it did the job! It definitely curbs the cravings!! It is rather stimulating though, I find that sometimes my heart is racing with it. I was just taking 100mg twice a day.... but at one point I was have a hard time and more depressed than usual. Then my pdoc put me on 200mg twice a day and that seemed to help. Now I am not so upset all the time and I reduced the dose back to 100mg twice a day. My pdoc also rold me not to take the afternoon dose any later than about 2pm or so in order not to keep me awake. O ;oke it, but I can see how it may not be right for everyone!

KittyPants as for the insomnia my pdoc gave me Trazodone for sleep. Some people don't like it...but it works great for me.

I hope I was of help!!

Good luck & God bless!!!
Tere "

" We all have different body chimestry and genetics.
I tried just about everything and Wellbutrin is the ONLY one i liked.
However like everyone else is saying insomnia can be a side effect with Wellbutrin.
Since my insomnia is SO EXTREME, i had to stop the Wellbutrin as not even with what i take for sleep worked while taking Wellbutrin.
I really liked this med. "
