i just started about 150mg about a week ago i dont know if it is doing anything for me but i will let you know!

Ok thanks...any sleeping problems from it?

i have been taking 300mg for a while now and no sleep problems from it..its a good med.

I take Wellbutrin to counter my sleepiness in the mornings and afternoons. Their are added benefits, however. It does increase sex drive and orgasm. It also helps you shed a few pounds, and generally is a good add on boost to an SSRI. I have been taking a combo of Prozac/Wellbutrin for many years after many failed attempts at other combinations. I hope it works for you.

I was told (by my psychiatrist) to take Wellbutrin when I wake up, because it can cause insomnia. I take 450mg every morning.

A few years ago, someone I know asked a medical doctor (MD) who specialized in sexuality, if there was anything to take that would increase orgasm intensity......the doctor said the only drug known to do that was Wellbutrin. This was before Viagra, etc.

Wellbutrin is often recommended by doctors to patients who don't want an anti-depressant to interfere with their libido.

i'm on 300 mg Wellbutrin as well. I don't have any awkward side effects of sleep. It does give me a bit of a boost during the day and not make me want to sleep away my depression. But i'm also able to sleep at night...so i think it's great.

i take 75mg just started 2 weeks ago i dont feel depressed but i get so tired its hard to work i go to work in the afternoon at 3pm and get home by 1130 in bed by 1230 all i do is sleep should i ask to take more but i take lithium too and vitamins and iron

Yea, call your doctor and ask if they can bump you up to 150mg. And make sure you are seeing a specialist aka a pyschritrist not a PCP.

Well I had a problem with insomnia before the Wellbutrin, but I think it's made it a bit worse. But it doesn't cause sexual side effects for me like some other meds have and it works better for me than any other antidepressant I've tried, so it's worth it for me. I recently had Cymbalta added to the Wellbutrin and couldn't have an orgasm. After I stopped the Cymbalta I had no problem. If you have a problem with insomnia, take the Wellbutrin as early in the day as you can and ask your Dr. for something sedating to take at bedtime. Today I start seroquel to see if that helps with my insomnia.

I've taken Wellbutrin for about two years and it actually made me sleep better. Mind you, I take it first thing in the morning.

Also woke up my sleeping libido but I'm not sure if that was a result of the chemical or just not being so depressed any more.
