I have been taking Lexapro for about 4 months now its worked for me better than anything else it does make me sleepy especially when you first start it i take 40 mg and it works great for me but i do feel the difference if i miss a dose or dont take it around the same time each day the only side affect i have had is since ive been taking the Lexapro i get car sick REALLY EASILY but good lucks for you hun

I take 20mg a day, started at 10mg & doubled my dose after a couple weeks. It helps my depression, killed my libido for a little while though.

Hi unaware. Makes me a little light-headed if I take it on an empty stomach.

On the upside, it makes me feel like I can do this thing every day. That's all that counts.

I have been on Lexapro for 5 days and can tell it already has taken the edge off. I too get queasy if I dont have something on my tummy. But I am motivated to get more done instead of being face down on the couch from the time I get home from work.

I've been on the stuff for several months. At first, it seemed to make me fatalistic. Now it seems to be helping me depressed less. But, then again, I still get the ocassional fly-by psychotic thoughts...but I digress. It could be worse. I could be Tom Cruise...realizing that L. Ron Hubbard was a scammer who created Scientology as a money-making scheme...and after the cult got all his deepest, darkest secrets...then they dropped the OT-8 bomb- Xenu, aliens frozen under volcanoes...and he can't get out without the compromising photos the cult has of him. Trapped like a rat. Just like John Travolta can't admit his son's autistic...that would make the poor kid a non-being, dragging down his family. Trapped like a rat. See...it could be worse, even if the Lexapro don't work.

Don't be surprised if it makes you crave sweets. I know one other person aside from myself that it did this to.

i just started taking it 3 days ago.. started with half a pill at night for 3 days now tonight im supposed to be taking full pills.. im not quite sure if its working or not but i dont feel like crying all the time anymore.. my life situation isnt getting any better maybe thats why.. as far as side affects go i do get a lil dizzy and nautious but thats prolly cause i dont eat much

My experience with Lexapro was really rough. It made me really down and suicidal. i really didnt like it. I stuck it out for about 3 months to see if those effects would go away but they didnt so I'm off of it now. I hope your experience is better then mine.
