EMSAM, its a maoi patch, it was working well and I really felt like the depression was lifting, For the past few weeks I think that the depression is returning I cant get out of bed, when I am in bed I'm just there because I absolutely can not sleep more than a few hours at a time. Just wondering if anyone else know of this med. Oh and by the way I have tried so many meds before this that had very little affect. I just hope that this will kick in again.

I tried the emsam patch and I liked it pretty well. I was only on it for a couple of months though because I started having blood in my urine and we(my dr. and me) thought it might be from the emsam so I went off of it. Further tests showed that it was not the emsam but yet another medical problem. Since the emsam really hadn't helped my depression we did not try it again. Most all anti-depressants do not work for me either. I would definitly talk with your dr. about your emsam. You might be in need of an increased dose. Good Luck!!
