Today is my first Mothers Day (Australia). I feel unappreciated by my boyfriend. I'm looking for my cat Nelson, as this is his fourth day of being missing. I'm feeling very sad and lonely. I've never felt this unloved on special days until I was in this relationship. I want to go home to my mom's house in Melbourne, but that would be like declaring war on my bf as he won't let me take our baby away from him for any length of time. He's working two shifts today anyway, so he won't be here much. If I weren't looking for Nelson I'd so be in Melbourne by now. I want to curl up in a ball and disappear.

Im so sorry, it is terrible to be pulled apart by the people you love. Can you call your mom? I am away from my mom to, and this is my 24th mothers day. No matter how old you are, you still miss mom. Again, I am sorry, I lived with this feeling for years, my mom didn't like my ex, my ex was jealous of the relationship I had with my mom. Most the time I felt like a rubber band being pulled from all sides and ready to explode.

I'm sorry your all feeling sad, mothers day doesn't really mean much to me at this point because my mother hasn't really had much to do with me since I was about 10. I can't wait for my first mothers day as a mom myself, because it means I get to be there for someone as THEIR mother on that special day. Hugs to anyone that's been unhappy because of this. *hugzes*

PS - I help Nelson has shown up. I know how hard it is to have a furbaby missing. I'm sure he's somewhere warm and safe though. Probably found himself an oblivious elderly person who's pampering him with lots of food and warm cuddles, and will be home again soon.
