I have struggled with depression in the past but for the last few years have been much better. Then at the beginning of the summer I had a hysterectomy and now am finding myself more and more feelings of discouragement, lack of energy motivtion etc. I just dont know how much is simply a reaction from the surgery or if my old stuff is coming back. I am trying to do all the things I know help, but overall it is not helping. I dont know whether to ask the doctor for anitdepressents or not. Frustratingly sad. Just want to go back to bed - not a good sign .

It's early yet hun. You're only a couple of months post-op. I had shoulder surgery a year ago and I am just starting to feel human again. Don't be too hard on yourself. Try some fresh air and a change of atmosphere before you reach for the meds. If this doesn't help, then by all means you should see your doctor. I hope you feel better soon.
