There were 51 entries to the will gays go to hell topic,so I made another
discussion topic related to this issue. This copy was also spell checked.
I believe in God! Do not listen to the Holy rollers and the fire and brimstone folks. They are depressing all by themselves. Your Christian
faith should not be based on fear. You guy's and gal's already have enough stress with the stigma of being gay. After many years of knowing gay's I believe it is not a way of life as it appears, but a genetic taboo illness that attacks you to the same sex. A taboo illness/disease is an illness that is hidden, mocked, not accepted or understood by the non-afflicted. Depression is still considered a taboo illness. Look at how it affects all aspects of our life. Try to get a security clearance after being treated for depression. All the gay's I know would not be gay if they could. I do not know anyone who wants to be depressed either. It is who we are genetically and it cannot be cured, just like depression and many other taboo diseases. We live with it the best we can. Bible scripture on homosexuality is very vague and leaves room for other interpretations. If we could all take a pill tomorrow to cure our problem we would. People with depression take medicine to cope so it doesn’t get worse and destroy there life. Are we not worthy of Heaven? Should we go to hell because we have a disease that most people do not understand? People with depression back in the time of Jesus were stoned by the very same fanatics that believe in the fire and brimstone scare tactics. About 2 weeks ago I was slashed and battered by the fire and brimstone Christians when I talked about this same subject. They were differently not open minded on this subject. I got the feeling that there defensive posture on the subject left no room for
discussion. It was there way or no way. The different Christians groups will always have there differences in there interpretation of scripture in the Bible. After
reading the comments on the subject; I came to the conclusion that they were scared not to be scared. It was easier to negatively attack me then to nicely discuss the subject with an open mind. More and more Church's are interrupting the Bible as love without the fear of fire and brimstone. A God that loves us this much and a Son that died for us is not going to send us to a fiery pit because we are different. Fire and Brimstone hell was devised by man to scare us to believe in the way they want you to believe. Many Bible experts and historians that believe in God are starting to believe and understand that some of the passages in Revelations and other passages in the Bible are meant for that time. The reason why we have so many Christian Church's is that we disagree on the meaning/interruption of some of the passages and or
books of the Bible. We have a God of love and a Son that taught only that. What do you want to believe in a God with unconditional love, or a God that will throw you in a fiery pit if you are not in fear of him? Sounds more like Pagan rituals that used to worship idols and had sacrifices to these beliefs. Think about it...There are roughly (6) billion people on this Earth and around (1) billion are Christians. Out of that (1) billion are many Christian groups that do not believe in the fire and brimstone scare tactic. How do you know you are right when you are less than a billion out of 6 billion worldwide? Are billions of people of all other religions going to a fiery grave if they do not except this scare tactic. Billions of people on this Earth have never had the chance to read the Bible to make there decision anyhow. The monks around the World live there life in total harmony, peace with themselves and others. They teach self awareness,
self control, peace, harmony, and to love mother Earth and there inhabitants. I cannot see these kind, honorable, and peace loving people going to Hell because they did not convert or have the chance to convert to Christianity. What makes this minority Christians group any different then a Cult? Fire and Brimstone Christians are not open to other possible interruptions and shut out all non-believers just like Cults do. There is nothing in the Bible that says Jesus threatened to throw anyone into a fiery pit. Jesus spoke of love for all men. Jesus did not scare anyone he cured them....
