okay.. as most of you know, my issues with my Cat pumkin... they have only gotten worse, biting all the time, and biting my little girls, I won't send him back to the shelter..so today, when he went to go out the door, I didn't stop him... we were all out side playing, me and the girls.. and pumkin was LOVING it!! running and playing.. letting us pet him etc... he seemed so happy. Now... I went out to call him and he isn't around...should I worry yet?

" He'll probably come back to the place where he knows he can get food-your house!
What was his history? Was he outside before? Because if he was, he will never be an indoor only cat. Is Pumkin declawed? If he is--that's a problem as he'll have little defense to deal with predators or other combative cats. "

" depends on the cat and how long he's been there. If he's been for over 6months he'll have pretty much sussed the layout of your back yard with or without being outside. Sometimes cats can go missing for up to four days if not more when exploring. If however he has been there less and doesn't return in another day you should look into contacting your local shelters hun x "

" Pumkin is about a year old.. he was a stray before the shelter said.. he has been neautered, still has his claws..flea control, a color with his name and my number.. so he should be okay right? I am gonna miss him sleeping next to me.. that was the one great thing about him, when he wasnt biting us. :) "

" I bet he will be ok,and he'll come home when he;s hungry. If he was a stray before he might miss the great outdoors..

We used to have a big black cat who went outside (we lived rurally) that cat would sometimes be gone for a week before he came home, but he always did. We had him until he finally passed at 17 years old!! His name was Ralph. "

" well.. I am looking for him, and will do so until he comes home of course... not in my car driving the streets looking... but I keep going out and calling him, I put his kennel and blanket out next to a bowl of food and water just in case. He has only been gone a few hours.. "
