These are things that work to help combat depression aside meds and therapy.

1. Journaling
2. Gratitude lists
3. Daily lists of accomplishments
4. Talking honestly to friends who are supportive
5. Excersize
6. Prayer
7. allowing yourself to feel your feelings fully without acting upon them and letting them pass
8. Meditation
9. Art
10. Music
11. Reading
12. Volunteering
13. Doing and acknowledging nice things for yourself through out the day
14. 12 step programs
15. Deep breathing
16. taking advise even if you don't like what you hear about yourself
17. Eating healthy
18. Positive reinforcement, positive self talk,
19. Accurate self sight
20. Asking for help when you need it- not waiting until things are completely out of control


I made this list because I see so often people asking what they can do. Feel free to add to it!
