" I just love junk food -- I would live on pizza and ice cream if I could. I used to weigh almost 300 lbs -- then I started eating healthy and exercising. Now I'm between a size 5 and 7.

The way I eat makes a huge difference with my depression. Last weekend I just trashed my body with every piece of junk food I could find. I felt awful for days. I call it having a junk food hangover. It's like drinking too much; lots of fun at time but the morning after is the pitts.

I don't some research on nutrition and depression. Here are some of the common recommendations I've seen -- lots of B vitamins (brewers/nutritional yeast and brown rice are great for that), Omega 3 flax seed oil or fish oil, bananas, lots of greens, soy products.

Watch out for all that fun stuff -- sugar, starches, caffeine.

I think balance is the key. I would get depressed with out my special treats. I just try to limit them. "

" You're right, Desert Dancer. The key is to balance. I lost 60 lbs last year just by cutting out white flour and sugar. It feels so much better. Now when I have something really good, I appreciate it more and I don't eat the whole thing like I used to. "
