" I usually have a lot of trouble sleeping. Last night I was really upset and crying and having a horrible time trying to sleep. Suddenly, I just calmed myself down, tried to blank my mind (which is nearly impossible), and then I focused on nothing but Barack Obama. I don't know why I chose him; he was just the first thing that came to mind (probably because I spent a few good hours on PunditKitchen before bed). PunditKitchen is a political comedy site, so I had good associations with Barack. I just kept his picture in my mind, and told myself a story of what lead to the picture. I was asleep within minutes.

lol I don't know if thinking of Barack Obama will help you, but maybe focusing on the first neutral or good image that pops into your head will help you sleep.

If not, start a Fight Club? lol I wish you the best of luck in conquering insomnia. "

" I have problems sleeping regularly. My body is usually tired but my mind is wide awake and won't allow me to sleep. After a few nights of this I get exhausted, irritable (which my husband objects to, and I don't blame him) and generally miserable. Maybe once in a while I'll sleep all night, but that's very rare.
I've tried all sorts of things, but nothing has worked yet. I'd be glad of any ideas to end this problem "
