" To much to exsplain here Chinookwife & Leahanne but I'll try to give you just a little piece 'bout it. It is a very infamous story about a guy named Tom Dula or some call him Tom (Dooley) due to mountain lingo. They change pronunciations in the mountains of N.C. For instance a woman named Pauline could be called Perline. Anyway it's a very infamous story of sexually transmitted disease, gossip, tawdry affairs, murder & mystery that happened in the region where I live in around 1868 or there abouts. It inspired a very infamous story & very, very famous f song. Reason I was thinking about it is because I already knew of the story because of where I live but I saw a very interesting documentary about it last night. Very interesting story for anybody that would like to look it up & read about on the internet or library. Better than a soap opera. They say he was a very hansome man. "
