my best friend of 22 years betrayed me and i just dont know how to handle it
i have 3 sons who all call her aunt she has 2 girls and a boy who call me aunt shes 40 my sons are 21,26,28her girls are 18 ,16 and son is 7 we recently agreed to allow my 21 year old to date her 16 year old as they requested but w/her strick guidelines i wasnt crazy about it but they get along so well they have been going to movies and stuff but only a few hours a weekend they been doing this for about3 months my friend baby sits for my 26 year olds 6 month old baby so he and his wife work she has been involved with a man for 9 years i found out from her that she slept with my 26 year old i just dont even know how to react i love my daughter-in-law and dont want her to be hurt help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! wow. jerry show is right. as in any situation i know you want to say something. But realize if you do it makes you look like the bad guy for breaking the news and really puts you in the middle of the drama. i had a situation where i was real good friend with both husband and wife. and i knew she was cheating on him and couldn't betray that friendship...but couldn't tell him for fear of him being nervous before he deployed and it turned out in the end..i kept my mouth shut the whole time. the truth came out when she was ready to be honest. and her husband actually appreciated me not telling him and said it wasn't really my place. it also kept me more on the outside of the drama as well. i would suggest not being as close with her but keep formalities due to ties. Other than that she will eventually come clean if she has a conscience. And maybe you could even talk to her and let her know that you don't feel like what she did was right. and maybe even ask her if she could come clean with it. I understand your trying to protect both your son and daughter in law...but if he is doing that then maybe they need to know this to either strengthen their marriage or break it off if it cannot be resolved or overcome.

you know what?I wouldn't even consider my mates kids as sexual partners,especially the ones I am watching growing up.But it's happened,try and limit the damage,save daughter in law from pain,but if they are still at it daughter inlaw needs to know x

wow...thats a tough one. i feel for you - 22 years of friendship is a long time. i am trying to think what i would do if that was me. what a hard thing to go through. i just dont know. i have 2 best friend that i truly love but if i found out something like that i think i would be turned off. i just dont know. what a tough call. i feel for you.
