" I have been depressed and not anxious and I have known someone that suffered from anxiety attacks and was not depressed. Best thing to do is if you are feeling anxious, talk to your doctor about it. You can decide together about whether you need the anti-anxiety medication.

My husband is taking anti-anxiety medication, and it makes him extremely sleepy. "

" That is a dang good question! I had panic attacks that started about six years ago but have depression too. Honestly, I prefer anxiety to depression. It seems easier to control somehow. Maybe someone out there would know. It does seem to go hand in hand though. "

" Yep! It got me too!! :( I started with anxiety.. and slipped into depression (not deep). I feel much of my anxiety is under control, so therefore I don't feel depress.. not my nature to begin with. I do take Effexor XR (Anti-Depressant) which is working wonderfully both anxiety and depression "
