Does anyone take Cymbalta and have you had any side effects. The dr changed my medicine from Celexa to Cymbalta yesterday. My symptoms got worse on Celexa. I am just wandering what kind of side effects if any has anyone experienced?

Thanks and I appreciate the help!

" I don't take cymbalta. If you just suddenly stopped Celexa it can make you worse for a while since Cymbalta takes a while for it to work. Common side affects are naseau, dry mouth, fatigue, decreased appetite, sleepiness, and increased sweating. "

" cymbalta is in the same class as effexor, which i am on. the only side effect that i have had is that sometimes i can't sleep, and i have had a decreased appetite and weight loss. also i have become increasingly irritable, but im not so sure that that is the medicine. other than that, it seems to be working better than any SSRI, i'm just waiting to up my dose. " I was on Cymbalta and it worked wonderfully for me. For the first time in about 15 years I felt like I did back before the depression. Unfortunately, when he increased the dosage to 60 mg, I stopped urinating so they had to take me off of it. It is a very rare side effect or so the pharmacist told me. "

" I have been taking Cymbalta along with Tegretol, but at first just took Cymbalta. It lowered my appetite, (which for me was a good thing) but also made me anxious (started rocking myself and biting the ends of my fingers while online!!) and I have had more night sweats (some from premenopause) www.webMD.com (at the bottom of the page, look under "drugs A-Z) and www.drugs.com are both good websites for drug info.
