Depression from back pain.

Hi, anyone out there suffering from depression from health problems or back pain? I have had two back surgeries in 2005, fell in May 2006, broke my right pelvis in two places, which has healed now, tore my right rotator cuff then had to have surgery to fix it. And now I found out that I have to have my third and final back surgery next month. I can't get out very much, don't have any friends to talk to, husband works swing shift and can't talk to him at work. I am taking Effexor XR and it seems to help me get over the rough edges but it doesn't help me when I don't have anyone to talk to. I am 57 years old and on disability, which isn't much. Anyone who's gone through what you have would be depressed, I have flare ups of sciatica, so understand that grrr feeling. Keep talking and talk to your doc to see if you can have something else perscribed and some councilling could help too, wish I could help more. Have a hug Victoria, ps that's my eldest daughter's middle name, meaning Victory.
