Does anyone else notice a problem with sufferers of Alzheimers 'taking things'? they don't need. I am wary of going into shops with him. Took a bottle of wine from a friends part other night. He doesn't even drink.

" Absolutely!! My mother takes my sunglasses and pocketbook. Those are the two things in life that she always had with her. When she sees them, she takes them. I think there is no rhyme or reason for what they do....just keep a careful eye and check their pockets when you get home. It's part of the process.

Sorry it took you weeks to get any response. Hopefully others will help as well. Best to you! "

" My hubby is in a NH, I find he has a $5 bill in his pocket again today. He can't be stealing because he can't get out of the wheel chair without help. I ask him who gives it to him and he says the man. I have a feeling he must be complaining that he has no money. I don't give him any because there isn't anything he could buy. I would give him some but after a while he doesn't realize it is in his pocket. "
