Okay, most of you remember my rant after seeing my first pain mgt doc in 18 months and what a butt head he was….
Well, I just got back from PM#2 and oh my GOD-what a difference. I emailed him my “story” the night before so he had an idea what to expect! The first thing: Urine Test-no prob I will pee for you! He was thorough, compassionate, attentive, and helpful and had a full plan of action laid out for me before I even left. It included TRIGGER POINT INJECTIONS TODAY!!!! My first time!!!! Why has no one done this to me in the 16 G.D. years I have been suffering? I am numb right now. Next-repeat the Bi-lateral SI Joint injections that the butt head did. Then Facet Joint injections…then after that burn the nerve to the facet if necessary…after that perhaps ….perhaps a Medtronic Device if warranted. Now, I ask, was that so G.D. hard? Oh, yeah, upped my med levels so that I get real relief…gave me a brand new TENS unit and ordered me a new back brace! I think I have died and gone to heaven. Please, do not give up on finding a good doctor! They are out there…I promise…I worked for and with many in my career…I praise God he helped me find this one. So far, so good. Oh I am so happy for you. I am seeing a new pain management doc in a couple days. My surgeon and my primary dr agreee that the jerk I see now is not helping me one bit. Can you message me about the letter you sent to the new dr. I have all of my records ready and I also want to write something to the doc so I dont get blown off again. Well I didnt want to make this post about me so back to you. I am so glad you have taken a stand in your fight for the treatment you deserve. I am right behind you hun and I am so glad you are here.
