I have been trying to get ahold of both of my drs since last Thursday...my right foot is getting worse and they wont call me back. They never answer the phone, I always have to leave a message.

My question is....how would you handle your drs not calling you back??? And you know you are getting worse:(

" They would no longer be my Dr. Are you with a certain Dr. because of your insurance? You can report them as being non-responsive to you and your needs and you should be allowed to seek a different Dr. No one should be ignored. "

" Hello Kon:)

I finally heard from my Pain management Dr 's MA this morning....I have not been able to lift my right foot up in 5 days;( She is supposed to call the Dr and then call me back:)

What got them going was I had put a call into my Spine Specialist who was the one that told me to go to my Pian dr in the first place. My Spine Dr chewed on them for a little while yesterday and it is starting to work this morning. I have PPO insurance so I can go to anyone but there is only one Spine dr in my area;( "

" There is absolutely NO EXCUSE for a specialist who basically has a monopoly in an area to not be available. If they are so overwhelmed, then they should hire an associate to pick up the slack.Patients health and well being should not be compromised. It sounds like a money making racket. If the doctor wasn't getting the messages, then I would voice your complaint DIRECTLY to them at your next visit.
I have a wonderful doctor who was unaware that his staff was putting patients on hold...then either hanging up on them or ignoring the call.Once I spoke to him,I made it VERY CLEAR that I was a regular patient and deserved to be treated with respect. "

" I have had this problem before. The receptionist at my dr office is very rude and the dr wasn't getting my messages. Make sure you bring it to the doctor's attention at your next visit. Maybe he/she doesn't realize there is a problem. And I agree about finding a new place. "
