Decreased appetite- from Coumadin?

Does anyone else not feel like eating while taking Coumadin? (besides the usual side effects) When I was off it for surgery back in April, you would have thought I was the human garbage can while I was taking the lovenox instead. I don't realize I am hungry very often, then when I start eating, then I realize I was pretty hungry. Anyone else get this from Coumadin, or is it something else?

" Hi Flip
How were you before you started taking Coumadin, did you have a big appetite or not? Could it had been that with lovenox it made you hungrier?
Just shooting in the dark...
Anyways, take care and KEEP ON EATING...:) "

" I have been on Warfarin for 2 months now, and my appetite has definitely decreased. I'm not sure if it is due to the medicine or the stress, though. It's a little funny to be losing weight without eating salads or excercising! Oh well, I'll take this rare positive side-effect from a DVT. "

" I wish warfarin or lovenox decreased my appetite. It ain't so for me. Of course, I'm a total stress eater which means a decreased appetite has no impact what so ever on me; I'll eat anyway. But that's probably a topic for another support group :) "

" I'm quite the opposite. I seem to be hungry 24/7. Despite the fact that I am eating healthier than I did pre-DVT, watching what and how much I eat, I am also gaining weight like crazy. It's been just under 4 months and I've gained a good 14 pounds, possibly more. I am horrified and going to see my doctor about it this week. "

" When I was first diagnosed with the dvt, I couldn't eat at all!! I lost almost 10lbs. but then i realized that by not eating it messed up my inr so I actually had to force myself to eat 3 suare meals a day.It was the fear that decreased my appetite not the coumidin.Hope this helps. "
