Hey all.

How are you all doing ?

I was wondering if anyone here has had a C-Section ?

I had my pre-birth registration at the hospital yesterday and was informed that I may be forced to have a C - Section to control any bleeding during delivery better because I am on a blood thinner right now. i had a blood clot back when I was 19 and now have to give myself daily injections during my pregnancy to avoid another one.

How long afterwards did it take you to recover ?

Has anyone been in my situation ?>

" I would think you would have just as much a chance of bleeding with a c-section than with a vaginal delivery -maybe even more. I would be asking my OB about that one. Are you seeing a high risk doc? maybe they could answer the question. "

" I had a c-section 7 years ago because my daughter was too large for me to deliver. I asked the doc if I had to have a repeat c-section because I'm on bloodthinner too. He said as long as the baby doesn't get to large I could have a VBAC. They would stop my lovenox 6 hours before the induction (I have to be induce so they can stop the meds and give my blood time to thicken) and I would have to wear those inflatable stockings that keep the blood flowing in your legs. Other then that he said there should be no reason to have a c-section and that a vaginal delivery would be safer in reality, and easier on me and baby! Hope this helps! "
