Does anyone ever have a good day, tell someone, and then start to feel really sick and feel like they jinxed themselves by saying they felt good? I had a pretty good day, yesterday, but didn't tell my husband. The last time I had a good day and told my husband, I ended up in the hospital the next day with a blockage. I'm hoping that my good day yesterday and pretty good day today will continue (and maybe it means the Imuran is finally kicking in), but for now I'm keeping quiet. I know the minute I tell my husband, I'll start to feel sick and kick myself for saying anything at all. Does anyone else do this or am I just weird? :)

" Ok, I thought I was the only freak who did this! It's whacky, isn't it? I pride myself on how rational I am, how I'm a person of science and free will and all that jazz and then I'll do something like you describe.

I was feeling so flippin' great a couple of weeks ago and I felt kind of cocky about it. Then shortly thereafter, I started feeling like garbage again. I actually told myself, "that's what you get for being all cocky." What the... ?? Ok, first, regardless if I'm cocky or not about my health, I deserve to feel good. Why not feel up beat about it. Secondly, since when did my mere thoughts give me control over space, time and the physical world? If I had that kind of mojo, trust me, I'd so being doing something different right now. "

" Oh, you are not crazy!!! This happens to me all the time, too! Makes my husband soooo mad! He'll say, but you just said you felt GOOD!!! But it feels so good to feel good that you find it hard to believe it is really true! Wish you luck on the Imuran. That is one I have never been put on to try. "

" You don't even have to say anything out loud. One morning I was lying in bed thinking how well I felt, and by that evening I had another blockage. Sheesh! "

" This happens to me all the time too. I try not to think about it too much when I'm feeling good because I'll set off the curse. My wife says that I do this to myself...sometimes I think she's right.
I'm always being accused of trying to avoid going places by saying that I don't feel well all of a sudden. I wish it were not true but sometimes it just hits you that way. Other people just don't get it. That's why I started coming here...you guys get it!
Thanks.

Gord. "
