Does anyone know what this is or have used it. My docotor originaly prescribed me canasa (sepository) but since I can not afford that, he said to take this...but with no explanation. If anyone knows anything please let me know.

Wow... no responses to your post yet? Hmmmm... too bad. I find the Hydrocortisone Acetate (25mg) suppositories to be VERY VERY usefull... just make sure you keep them in a cool place (or store them in the fridge to prevent 'melting'). It is more convenient than carrying around the Rowasa Enemas (or such), and much easier to insert! Good luck with this....
Don't quote me on this, but the name "Canasa" might just be a BRAND name for the suppository. The Hydrocortisone Supp. would just be like the 'generic', so it would be much cheaper! If you're worried... do we www.WebMD.com search to see the active ingredients in both... ok?

Hydracortisone is a powerful steriod that works really fast, as Longie says they work really well, it helps with allergic reactions and such too. Hope it helps you x
