I have been prescribed this for severe joint pain.
Anyone familiar? How easy is this on your tummy? Diarreah? Does it make you sleepy and does it get rid of joint pain?

" Celebrax is an NSAID, which is not suppose to be good for IBD patients. I have heard that clebrex is less irrating on the tummy than other NSAIDs. I had to take it a few years ago for my back. It was ok, helped a bit. Try it and see how it does, it may not bother your tummy at all. I believe that everyone reacts different. If you were given a perscription all this was probably taken into consideration. "

" When I took it I didn't have IBD. So I don't know how it will be on your tummy. I do know that if I take IBU 800, also an NSAID I end up in heaps of pain. I can't remember if it made me tired. "

" I was on it for a few weeks however it gave me left arm and chest pains. I went in for some test on my heart and it was fine didnt show any sign of heart attack. I stoped the celebrex right away. It did take care of the joint pain I actually made several hikes up the mountain while on it.

" Just so everyone knows - so far it has caused the LEAST amount of stomach pains with the most reduction of joint pain of anything I've ever tried. The other NSAID made me lose control of my bowels! But this just causes a loss of appetite I've noticed. Maybe that will get worse after a few days, but we'll see. I was unable to walk before, so am so happy to be functioning again. Thanks for all your answers. "
