Just curious to see what people's experience with Entocort has been. My doctor is having me taper from prednisone and start entocort so I'm wondering what to expect. Any input, insight, etc. would be appreciated. Thanks.

" i was on that for a while it helped me control the crohns and i had no bad side effects. The side effects of the pill could never be any worse then dealing with the crohns anything was an improvement. "

" My husband is on it and loves it. He HATED Prednisone because that is absorbed by the entire body. Entocort is absorbed by just the intestines - which means much less side affects.

The only downside is that it isnt as STRONG as prednisode - so it goes alittle slower.... "

" I hate taking pred. and my doc doesn't like putting me on it either so he started putting me on entocort. It does work a bit slower but it definitly minimizes the number of flares I have and the severity of them. On occasion my doc. will put me on pred. too if I am having a bad flare, but I love the stuff. I don't have any bad side effects. "

" Yes, Murphy I know what you mean. I told my friend yesterday that I feel like the Incredible Hulk when I'm on prednisone because I just fly off the handle with rage! Hate it! Thanks again. "
