Daily Intake of Ibuprofen may INCREASE Risk of Heart Disease!
Found this article on Reuters and thought I'd pass along, b/c many people probably take Ibuprofen...though taking it every once in a while should not increase your risk of Heart Disease....but the Study is showing DAILY Consumption of Ibuprofen for arthritis in the elderly population ..."may raise the risk of heart attacks and other fatal and serious problems when elderly people take it daily for arthritis." "Solomon said the findings may apply only to elderly white women..." "They said the popular over-the-counter pain reliever-Ibuprofen- was the only drug in the class that includes aspirin and other analgesics to raise the risk of serious heart disease -- along with the now-withdrawn COX-2 inhibitor Vioxx." Always talk things over with your Doc! Especially discuss with your Doc about taking a Daily Dose of Aspirin to help prevent Heart Disease by thinning your blood!
