" Sorry its been afew days before anyone is answering but I would seriously consider getting together with a Cardiologist to maintain your fathers heart health . Insist on it its a necessary thing . He needs to see a specialist GPs and other types of doctors are not qualified and its his life not theirs . All I'm saying is no other doctor should be allowed to diagnos its far to dangerous . I was one who went through numerous tests and had a heart attack anyway . I had ECG done and Xrays along with numerous Drs visits before the heart attack so it was preventable and I would literally call the doctor up insist on seeing a cardiologist or risk being sued . Get him out of bed don't let this doctor get a good night sleep . Its wrong for him to treat such a thing so frivalously. Best you go to ER if it continues . "

" My heart goes out to you. Western medicine is focused on the symptoms not the cause. Please be persistent and watch the drugs carefully as they do effect the personality including anxiety.

" I am going to go out on a limb here and also suggest that he sees a chiroprator. The reason being is that the see the body as a whole and when you adjust the spine it re-aligns the nevers tendents and muscle. My daughter had a serious heart prob and the Dr.s couldn't find the source. Had her spine adjusted and it disappeared. I had similar issues and they dispapeared. My husband had a heart attack at 43 (what a event that turned out to be) and is having problems, now he is open to seeing one.

Take care and all the best to you going through this challenge. "

" Hi Prather,
I have to agree with most everyone else. Only a cardiologist should be treating your dad. I am a female cardio-patient, any chest pain in men should be seen to at once. In a woman, a MI is not like the the "elephant sitting on the chest" in movies. Any pain the chest, arms, neck, jaw...these are our WARNING SIGNS to seek help.
Good luck to your dad and your family. becky "

" Hi Pratha: all these posts are the best information for your situation. No other doctor including family is qualified to diagnose your father's heart problem. An EKG is only as good as the time it is being done.

My husband had a triple bypass in 2003 and has had at least 5 more heart attacks since. Being a diabetic, the heart surgeon could not find good veins to use for the bypasses so he took the best he could find. Just because your dad had bypass surgery does not guarantee that he will not have more heart attacks. Take him to his Cardiologist. There are other tests that are far more accurate than an EKG.

Good luck. "
