HEY DS FAM... I HAVE BEEN ON THE SITE BUT HAD YET TO JOIN THIS GROUP... WELL I'M IN THE AGE RANGE OF 30-39 AND WONDERED IF THERE WERE ANYONE HERE WITH CHF... I ALSO HAVE ARRYTHIMIA WHEN I'M IN CHF. BUT I'M NOT HAVING SYMPTOMS NOW. WAS DIAGNOSED 10YRS AGO.

I REALLY HATE THAT LASIX OR FUROSEMIDE AS IT'S CALLED GENERICALLY. BUT IT WORKS WHEN I WANT TO SQUEEZE INTO SOMETHING TO WEAR. I HAVE TO LOOK AT IT LIKE THAT CAUSE I AM SO TIRED OF MEDS I WISH I COULD WAVE A MAGIC WAND AND BE FREE.

" I haven't had an episode of CHF in nearly a year. I keep the lasix on hand, but only use when I feel that fluid building up. I also do breathing treatments with a nebulizer with Albuterol everyday, and use albuterol emergency inhaler. I also have COPD, so they my heart and lungs like to "acy ugly" at the same time. I can't take the nitro. It starts a migrain that lasts for days. Instead, I take Ranexa 500mg twice a day. It is extended release tablets. It is expensive, but it has really helped. I very seldom have angina now either! I also have porforia and iron overload. I've just recently been diagnosed with those. They are taking one pint of my blood off every three weeks. I counted the other day, I take 21 heart/lung pills per day. I take 12 pain meds and 8-10 muscle relaxers a day. (Yes, spinal damage in 1998.) So when you that majic wand, please send it to me next~~best wishes for you....becky "

" I have had an MI I have controlled chf and copd, I take 60 mg of Lasix Sun. Tues. Thurs and Sat. on Mon, Wed and Fri I take 80 mg of Lasix I have been on the schedule for almost 2 years, they are now upping my aldactone (another kinda water pill acts different than Lasix) from 12.5 mg to 25 mg, that is really bugging me because it can screw up a persons potassium and that scares me, I would like to live without meds as well, but for now they are keeping me alive, so I will continue to do so. You are sooo young to have these problems I feel for you...Maggy "
