Anybody had success at keeping there plaques at bay using the these vitamins in combo? We all know Niacin lowers cholesterol. If you try it, make sure you use Niatonic Acid and not the other slow release crap they sell.

" I just can't believe how the use of Niacin has improved my physcial well-being in one day. Try it, I swear it works. Tell me, how you made out. I took 500MG and Flushing and pin-prick is part of the side-effects. I can deal with that if it keeps heart attack at bay. And, NO - I don't work for Niacin. Google it and read about the success people have had. "

" I'm confused, how did it improve your physical well-being? All you list are the side-effects. What problems are there with the 'slow-release crap' and what version are you referring to? I'm currently on 1500mg/day of NiaSpan, an extended release version of niacin. My HDL has gone up after almost a year on NiaSpan. (incidentally, I don't believe that it lowers any cholesterol values, just raises good HDL). "

" Hi-
All I can tell you is I took 500 MG of Niatonic Acid and I felt better with an 2 hours. Don't forget it supposedly has an effect on triglycerides. So, maybe my triglycierides where high. In any event it worked. I went from having left arm pain and chest tightness to feeling relaxed and comfortable. For the record, I'm a guy that consistently has low HDL.. I can never get it over 42 even when I'm an excellent shape. I can only tell you my experience, so take it for what its worth. Its no problem if you don't believe me. I'm not selling anything. "

" There's a website cholesterolscore.com that focuses entirely on the therapeutic use of niacin. After having read many of the articles, there, I made the switch from Lipitor to niacin. All my blood/lipid numbers improved, as did the nagging muscle & memory problems associated with Lipitor. Not having to pay the insurance co-payments for Lipitor really improved my bank-account balance, too.

Visit cholesterolscore.com if you're trying to improve your cholesterol numbers. "
