He does, but he does not have to have it right away. The cardiologist said that he is doing well right now and thriving and he doesn't want to give him one before he needs it. It could be anywhere from several months to a few years. He was surprised that my son's was only found now at 8 months. I really hope everything goes well for you and your baby! Do you have Lupus?

It turns out that I do. Never had a sign of it my whole life. My mother has it tho. When we did the blood work to find out if I had lupus due to the heartblock of my baby, it showed up there big time. I never knew....

Baby is scheduled to come out June 18 is he keeps the way he is. I'll keep you updated on his procedure when he has it.:)

My son was supposed to get one but didn't need one in the end. They said possibly in the future when he becomes more active.

Mom and baby are both home. My son does not need one as of now either, but will in the future as well.

I now have a baby with a pacemaker. He is one month old. It was placed on July 11th. Surgery went well, but he had some troubles recovering. We will finally be leaving the hospital tomorrow evening.
