Atrioventricular Canal Defect, Complete

I am 24 weeks pregnant with my 2nd child. My first died due to a congenital heart defect. This baby has Atrioventricular Canal Defect Complete.
They tell us they she will need surgery, and it can be fixed. That is what they told us about my son, but he died before time for the surgery. He only had Mitral Valve Prolapse with Regurgitation. I was just wondering if anyone has had this or heard of Atrial Septal Defect like this baby that I am carrying has and can give me some info. Any help is appreciated!

" I have/had both atrial septal defect and mitral regurgitation. Atrial septal defect is a hole between the two halves of the heart. I was born with a pin hole by age 12 when it was repaired it was the size of a silver dollar. My understanding with this defect is that it may close on its own, mine did not. As for my mitral valve I have a cleft in the flapper part of the valve, they though they repaired it, but as of today I'm looking at open heart surgery to repair it this winter. Take a look at my post about Little Hearts.org, they have more info and support for you. Please ask any questions you may have and I'll try to answer them for you. I do not know anything about atrioventicular, sorry. "

" i was born with TOF and had 2 holes in my heart and multible other problems that go along with TOF (meaning 4 major things wrong with the heart)... i had my full heart repair at 2 and a half i still have a hole in my hear cuz it was to correct its self and still hasnt. I go to a different support group ment for TOFers some of the parents on there say that there child has TOF and Atrioventricular Canal Defect. and there children are ok and are healthy. I can ask around at that site to get more info if you would like I normaly get about 30 reply in about 2 days from one post its a very livly support group, iv been on it sense i was 14 and i love that group. so ill ask for you about the procedure "
