Hi..my son suffer's from adhd, fasd, cd, tourettes, odd...I have been closly watching him with his behaviors and have noticed that when i have to go out in public (doesn't matter where) he throws this huge fit before we leave..and then when we get to where we are going he get's worse cause he just can't deal with the public/large crowds..so this includes going to church, grocery store, mall, going to the park just anywhere..I use to think he would do this just when i needed to go somewhere that i knew he didn't like...but he does it even if we are going some place that he really enjoys. I have cancelled more appointments and outings than i have actually gone on just cause of this one son and the way he reacts...So on one hand i have a lot of sympathy for him and try to accomodate him...but on the other hand it's not fair for the other kids or my husband and i if family outings are cancelled. I am needing advice..cause i just don't know how to handle this anymore..i feel really bad for him, but also it's extremely hard to explain to the other kids why we can't keep our promises most of the time and go out to do things!
